    George Clarke (Ngāti Porou, Te Aupōuri, Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi) is a registered architect and is the founder and director of GMC Architects. He has over 35 years of experience and is one of the few registered Māori architects in practice in Aotearoa.

    George gained his degree in architecture at the University of Auckland. He established himself in private practice in 1987 and his self-discipline toward architecture and strong whānau values have carried on to this day.

    George maintains a passion for producing great architecture and leads a talented team at GMC in designing and documenting projects which relate to the local environment and cultural qualities and values.

    James Nuku (Ngāti Kahu, Taranaki) joined GMC in 2013. He holds a National Diploma in Architecture from Unitec. At GMC, Jamesc overs all aspects of Architecture and highly valued member of our team.

    Levaopolo Ai Moe joined GMC in 2003, he holds an NZCD Architectural qualification. He trained in Sāmoa, prior to his arrival at GMC. He works closely with George across our residential housing projects.
